The expansion project began with the commissioning of ART VITAL as the planning office in March 2023, followed by the appointment of AKTUAL BAU as the general contractor in November of the same year. Just a few weeks later, on December 19 2023, the ceremonial groundbreaking marked the official start of construction, a milestone that signified the beginning of a new chapter for the site.
Throughout the entire construction period, masterbatch production continued without interruption. This consistent operational readiness highlights the company’s strong performance and unwavering commitment to supplying customers reliably even during modernization efforts.
With a total investment of around € 6.5 million, the site has been comprehensively expanded and modernized. The Nyíregyháza production facility serves as a key pillar within the Gabriel-Chemie Group – supplying not only the Hungarian market but also other company locations with high-quality masterbatch products.
As part of the project, the usable area in all sections has been significantly increased:
Office space: from 244 m² to 720 m²
Warehouse space: from 300 m² to 1,000 m²
Production area: from 540 m² to 1,190 m²
New maintenance area: 120 m²
This expansion creates room for additional extruder lines, increasing the production capacity from 10 to up to 19 lines. As a result, the site will be able to produce up to 2,500 tons annually in the future.

In addition to spatial expansion, targeted investments were made in modern, energy-efficient technologies, including a new cooling water system, a dust extraction unit with fresh air supply, an air-source heat pump, and full air conditioning for all offices. A particular highlight is the planned photovoltaic system with around 250 kWp, which will make a significant contribution to sustainable energy supply. With this project, the Gabriel-Chemie Group will be operating its third site equipped with solar panels.
